LIFTT announces hiring of an Independent Living Specialist in Miles City

Living Independently for Today and Tomorrow (LIFTT) is pleased to announce the hiring of Megan Child as an independent living specialist to be based in the Miles City area.

As an IL specialist Child will act as LIFTT’s front line presence in many eastern Montana communities providing the region’s disability community with programs and services in several core areas including: Information and Referral, Advocacy, Peer Support, Skills Training, Youth Transition, and Institutional Transitions.

Child holds a bachelor’s degree in Community Health from Montana State University Bozeman and has previously worked as a case manager with Youth Dynamics and as an independent living specialist with Montana Independent Living Project both in Bozeman. Child and her family live on a farm outside of Miles City where they raise chickens and goats.

Services Eligibility

Persons with any type of physical or mental impairment that significantly impacts their ability to live independently in the home and community or to maintain employment are eligible for LIFTT services. Information and referral services are available to anyone, regardless of disability status, including friends and family, the business community, and the general public.
