Trauma Informed Peer Support Training in Glendive June 20
June 6, 2017
The Montana Peer Network with support from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and the Eastern Service Area Authority will be holding a training on providing Trauma Informed Peer Support at Glendive Medical Center on Tuesday June 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This is an 8 hour interactive training that provides an introduction to and over of the key concepts in SAMHSA’s technical assistance document, Engaging Women in Trauma Informed Peer Support: A Guidebook. Although the guidebook was developed to support women, the training itself has been adapted for all trauma survivors. This guidebook can be downloaded here.
The intended audience is peer support staff, those who receive peer support, anyone who works in a setting where peer support is provided and of course trauma survivors.
There is no cost for the training but space is limited for more information or to register contact Montana Peer Network Executive Director Jim Hajnay via email jim@mtpeernetwork.org
