Ice Cream Social to kick off REV UP! campaign

Living Independently for Today & Tomorrow (LIFTT) is proud to join with numerous other disability rights organizations across the country to participate in the non-partisan REV UP! (Register! Educate! Vote! Use Your Power!) campaign to encourage more persons with disabilities to vote. In addition to voter registration efforts, REV UP! is also committed to: eliminating barriers to voting, protecting accessibility of voting technology and polling places; educating voters about issues and candidates; ; engaging candidates and the media on disability issues, and protecting eligible voters’ right to participate in elections.
LIFTT’s local REV UP! efforts will formally kick off with a FREE Ice Cream Social on Thursday August 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Veterans Park located at the cornor of 13th Street W and Poly Drive in Billings.
LIFTT staff and peers will be on hand provide assistance to those who wish to register to vote or learn more about the voting process in Montana or discuss other services that LIFTT provides to persons with disabilities across our service area.
