Smithsonian profiles Disablity Rights activist Ed Roberts

A recent article on Smithsonianmag.com profiles pioneering disability rights advocate Ed Roberts. Roberts, whose fight for equal treatment as a student at the University of California-Berkeley led him and others to found the first Center for Independent Living, passed away in 1995.
Mr. Roberts’ motorized wheelchair is now a part of the collection of the National Museum of American History.
