“Living Well with a Disability” kicks off LIFTT’s Fall Classes September 17

Living Independently for Today and Tomorrow (LIFTT) is pleased to announce that the agency will be offering three different skills training classes in its Billings office during the fall season. All classes are free of charge to participants and open to any individual with a disability.

  • “Living Well with a Disability” (4 Sessions, September 17, 19, 24 & 26) 
  • “Living Life Well: Strategies for Chronic Condition Management” (6 Sessions, October 1,8,22,29 & November 5)
  • “Budgeting Basics: An Introduction to Managing your Finances” (4 Sessions, November 12, 14, 19 & 21) 

Living Well with a Disability Class

This is a workshop which introduces a goal-setting approach and teaches problem-solving skills. Living Well also provides tools for managing health and making healthy lifestyle changes, increasing physical activity, developing and maintaining healthy relationships, improving nutrition, avoiding depression and frustration, and advocating for community change that help maintain gains.

Classes will be held at the LIFTT Billings Office 1201 Grand Avenue

Class Dates: September 17, 19, 24 & 26

Time: 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Living Life Well: Strategies for Chronic Condition Management

Using a curriculum developed by Stanford University “Living Life Well” is designed to assist people living with ongoing health problems develop strategies to:

  • Feel better and have more energy.
  • Discover new ways to improve their health.
  • Connect with others.
  • Communicate better with their family and physicians

Classes will be held at the LIFTT Billings Office 1201 Grand Avenue

Class Dates: October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 & November 5

Time: 10 a.m. to noon

Space in this class is limited to 12 participants. To reserve your place stop by LIFTT (1201 Grand Avenue) or call 259-5181 during regular business hours. Please let us know if you need any special accommodations when you register. Please if you register plan on attending all six sessions

Budgeting Basics: An Introduction to Managing your Finances

Being able to manage your own finances is a critical skill for any. participants in Budgeting Basics will learn how to create and maintain a household budget as well as  resources, techniques and tips on how to manage spending habits.

Classes will be held at the LIFTT Billings Office 1201 Grand Avenue

Class Dates: November 12, 19 & 21

Time: 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m.
