Hi everyone my name is Larry. I run the ramp program. You might have
questions about LIFTT's ramp program. I will try to answer a few questions
that come up quite a bit. One of your questions might be where can we build
ramps? LIFTT can build a ramp anywhere in our service area. Another
question might be how can I pay for a ramp because they are very expensive?
As far as costing you any money there is no cost to you if you can't afford
to pay for it, but if you would make a donation to the program it would be
very welcome. You may ask how the ramps get paid for if the consumer can
not afford to pay for them. LIFTT has many grants that we work with to
assist in paying for the ramp to be built. I hope this answers some of your

SELF DIRECTED PERSONAL ASSISTANCE SERVICES
Living Independently For Today and Tomorrow is now Providing Self Directed Personal
Assistance in all of its service delivery areas.
Self-directed Personal Assistance allows the person with a disability to
hire, train and supervise the personal assistants that work in their homes.
This service is open to all ages with all types of disabilities.
WHO PAYS FOR THESE SERVICES?
These services can be funded through Medicaid, Medicaid Waiver and also
private pay. Medicare at this time does not pay for these services.
LIFTT handles all payroll and employment related services. The Personal
Care Assistant is an employee of LIFTT who manages by the person with a
disability or their family. Consumers like the fact that they can decide
when and who gets them up in there morning.
LIFTT cuts the paycheck for the Assistant and then bills the appropriate
agency for reimbursement.
